News from the Desk: September 2017

By September 12, 2017 March 4th, 2020 No Comments

We can’t quite believe it’s September already! Kids are back to school and the weather is gradually cooling. As the days shorten, we are ready as always to take on your estate planning, probate and business legal needs.

Our team enjoyed a fabulous dinner on the patio at Westward on August 8. It was rather toasty out there, but we still certainly managed to enjoy the food, wine, company, and view!

September is a busy month! Sherry and I will be attending the Phinney Neighborhood Association Business Social on September 13. We appreciate the chance to network with our fellow local business owners, something I think is vitally important for our communities and our small businesses. We’re also attending the Seattle Estate Planning Council dinner on September 20, where along with our fellow estate planning colleagues, we will hear from attorney Warren Baker on IRAs. And as always, on September 30th I’m excited to speak on Business Law Essentials at the 21st Annual BizFair,  sponsored by the Seattle office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). BizFair is a fantastic event for new entrepreneurs; if you are thinking about starting a business, please join me! To get a peek into what will be offered at the event, check out my BizFair blog post on choosing a business structure here.

If it’s September, that means our Tennis Outreach Programs (TOPs) auction is around the corner! This year’s TOPspin auction is happening on October 21 at 6pm. I’d like to invite everyone to join my team in supporting what is always a fun, engaging and rewarding evening at the Eastside Tennis Center in Kirkland.

We happily celebrated our firm’s 18th anniversary on September 8! A hearty thanks to all of you for your support over the years!

As always, I would love to hear your questions and comments. If you have any questions about our firm and the work we do, please contact us or visit our website.
