Our Team

MERILY MCGRATH – LEGAL ASSISTANT

I am a native Seattleite, and grew up just north of Seattle in the Shoreline area. I attended local schools, including the University of Washington, where I received a BA in Political Science. During and after college I spent semesters in Guadalajara, Mexico, and in Avignon, France, and traveled quite a bit in South America. I also enjoyed interning with the Washington State Senate.

I have worked as a legal assistant with Perkins Coie, and then with the Boeing Company. I enjoyed seeing the legal profession from two different angles; working for clients while at Perkins Coie, and working often as the client while at Boeing. I have always enjoyed working with people, problem solving, and providing the most seamless customer service possible.  I feel lucky that I can combine these interests working with Stacey’s firm.

Outside interests include my great family, as well as travel both local and abroad, volunteer work with a variety of groups, and crafts! I love pottery, sewing, knitting, furniture refinishing, upholstery, gardening; the list goes on and on.

 SUZANNE STEPHENS – LEGAL ASSISTANT

I am thrilled to work with our clients and to be a part of this fantastic team. I grew up along the California Coast and settled in the Pacific Northwest in 2005. I have taught gentle yoga and restorative breath classes in the Seattle area since 2007 to those living with chronic health challenges. I was honored to lecture at Virginia Mason Hospital and to have compassionately listened and held space for those meeting the end of their lives. I enjoyed working as an archivist for a local immigration law firm and am a champion of clerical duties. I truly enjoy helping people, and I take pride in providing the best customer service experience possible.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and our amazing cat, Guts. I love adventuring with my camera on Seattle’s city streets capturing scenes I happen upon and images of people I meet. I appreciate a well-made campfire, reading and think Shaun of the Dead is one of the greatest movies of all time.

MICHELLE PACIONE – OFFICE ASSISTANT REMOTE

michelleOriginally from New York, I attended St. Joseph’s College where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in education with a concentration in history. As a paralegal, I made my way into the legal field in 2018, and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I enjoy working as part of Stacey’s wonderful administrative team and working with our prospective and current clients, ensuring they have a fantastic experience with the firm. Outside of work, I enjoy nature, gardening, working out, and spending time with my family.

 ABIGAIL JENSON – PARALEGAL REMOTE

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I fled the heat for the frozen tundra of Minot, North Dakota where I completed my bachelor’s degree in art history. After getting my fill of snow days and subzero temperatures, I returned to Arizona and completed my certificate in paralegal studies at Phoenix College. I found that writing about and researching art history translated well to writing about and researching law and was happy to work my way up from receptionist to paralegal in a small Phoenix law firm.

Now, as a virtual paralegal, I enjoy the steady pace of estate planning, probate, trust administration, and business law work while taking care of my son and two pups. Outside of work, I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit over 13 different countries. I still draw from time to time but my real passion is being a mom.

ROGER – OFFICE MORALE LEADER

Roger is named after tennis great Roger Federer, and considers his cat accomplishments to be at least equal to that of the 20-time Grand Slam Champion. His office hours tend to be minimal, due to the temptation of his food bowl and afternoon naps. When Roger “works,” his job description includes demonstrating office relaxation techniques, snacking on office plants, detaching the cord from the phone headset during conference calls, and occasionally sliding down the office printer. Although his helpfulness is questionable, Roger is much loved!
