News from the Desk: February 2017

A hearty congratulations to Sherry for being admitted as a new member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle! The EPC’s members “are experienced individuals who are active in the estate planning arena and are professionals that work in one of four professional disciplines as attorneys, certified public accountants, trust officers, or life insurance professionals.” I have been a member of the EPC since 2010. I’m thrilled to have Sherry join this informative and helpful organization.

Our Of Counsel attorney Vi Duong, an alumni of the University of Washington, volunteered for the UW’s Mock Trial competition the weekend of February 11th and also recently published a “smart” article on smart contracts in the King County Bar Bulletin!

Our team enjoyed meeting for a fabulous meal at Agrodolce on February 4. Since we are a virtual law firm, we don’t have much “face time” with one another, so we always appreciate the opportunities to connect in person!

On January 24 I had the pleasure of attending a District of Columbia Bar Networking & Listening Tour event. This event offered a unique opportunity to share insights with the D.C. Bar, as well as connect with peers and D.C. Bar leadership. I practiced in “the other Washington” for five years – including two years working for the U.S. Senate’s Office of Legislative Counsel.

As always, I would love to hear your questions and comments. If you have any questions about our firm and the work we do, please contact me or visit our website.
