News from the Desk: August 2019

We hope you’re all staying cool this summer! Here in Seattle, it’s rare to have home air conditioning, which is one slight disadvantage of working remotely and running a virtual law firm. At least my cat and beloved office mascot, Roger, is finding ways to beat the heat…

Another important part of our virtual law firm is finding fun ways to get together in person! We had so much fun at our team dinner last week at Frank’s Oyster House, one of the many delicious restaurants that our city has to offer. Many on our team pride themselves on their discerning “foodie” capabilities, so we always enjoy catching up over a delicious plate of Seattle’s best!

As summer quickly comes to a close, I’m gearing up for my seminar at the 2019 Washington Small Business Fair! I’ll be presenting Saturday, Sept. 21st on “Business Law Essentials” and would love to see fellow entrepreneurs and small business owners at this free and fantastic event. RSVP today!

During her summer vacation, Lisa and her family enjoyed a trip to the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho. That is an impressive potato!

We had the pleasure of getting together for a team dinner to celebrate our upcoming 20th anniversary as a firm! It’s been an amazing two decades of hard work and fun, and we wouldn’t be here without the help and support of all of you!

As always, I would love to hear your questions and comments. If you have any questions about our firm and the work we do, please contact us or visit our website.

How Much Is Enough?

It’s important to be thoughtful when passing your wealth to your children. Although you may want to help them through life, you may also contribute to family members relying too heavily on your estate as opposed to achieving self-sufficiency. So the real question remains, “How much is enough?”
