News From the Desk: January 2019

As most of you know, I am currently in Australia! In addition to watching the Australian Open, I am: making lifelong friends with some of my favorite animals at the Healesville Sanctuary, the Taronga Zoo, and the Melbourne Zoo; learning about two inspiring Australian artists at the Baldessin/Whiteley: Parallel Visions exhibit at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia; discovering some insights about Australia’s early prisons and judicial system at the Old Melbourne Gaol; and taking a scenic ferry across the Port Phillip Bay to visit the historic Nelson Place, Melbourne’s first seaport.

Meanwhile, I truly appreciate that my team is holding down the fort for me in my absence!
