News from the Desk: May 2017

By May 9, 2017 March 4th, 2020 No Comments

This month is proving to be another busy one for our firm!

May is a great month for philanthropy in Seattle, as it is GiveBig month! As many of you know, I’ve enjoyed serving as a long term Board member of a non-profit organization, Tennis Outreach Programs (TOPs). Our mission is empowering youth for lifetime success through tennis, education, fitness and character development regardless of economic circumstance. If you’d like to help our TOPs kids, please click here to schedule your GiveBig donation to TOPs by May 10. And check out their fun video, thank you!

I’m presenting for the Seattle office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) twice this month. On May 11, I’ll present a free webinar on Choosing the Right Business Structure. I’ll speak on that topic again on May 17 as part of the SBA’s “Jump Start Your Business” workshops, and will also participate as a panelist on the topic of “Choosing Your Team.” If you’d like to register for the free webinar on May 11, click here. To register for Jump Start on May 17 at the SBA offices in downtown Seattle, click here.

On May 16, Sherry and I are speaking on Diminished Capacity Issues for a King County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course. I’m excited to team up with Sherry to address the ethical issues related to representing clients who have diminished capacity. Click here for more information or to sign up to attend.

And last but not least, my third Spark article, entitled Spark: Tips for Maintaining Your Passion for the Practice of Law Part 3, has been published by the American Bar Association’s GPSolo eReport! In the third of four articles on maintaining passion for your professional life, I discuss how the “rubber meets the road” in achieving your professional and personal goals. Please take a look and let me know what you think!

As always, I would love to hear your questions and comments. If you have any questions about our firm and the work we do, please contact us or visit our website at www.staceyromberg.com.
