News from the Desk: April 2015

Hello and Happy April!

I recently returned from a fantastic trip to Indian Wells, California, where I enjoyed three days at the BNP Paribas Open, watching tennis greats like Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal play under a beautiful, sunny southern California sky. It was wonderful to have the chance to enjoy watching the best of the best compete in my favorite sport, tennis, visit with dear friends and make new acquaintances.

Of Counsel Attorney Sherry Bosse Lueders had a busy March! After starting the month with an “Estate Planning for New Parents” presentation to a Greenwood-area PEPS group (Program for Early Parent Support), she presented on “Estate Planning for Empty Nesters” to a women’s investing group on Mercer Island on March 20th. Sherry also was a member of a panel that presented and led a lively discussion on the topic of “Ethics and Social Media” at the Washington State Bar Association’s Readmission Program in March. I’d also like to congratulate Sherry on her insightful article on business dissolution, which made the front page of the March King County Bar Bulletin this month. Way to go, Sherry!

The Seattle Foundation’s “BigGive 2015” is right around the corner, on May 5th. For those of you not familiar with this annual event, the Seattle Foundation allows donors to give to their favorite charities on this day, and then will “stretch” the donation to provide further financial assistance. I would encourage all of you to consider providing a BigGive donation to an organization near and dear to my heart, Tennis Outreach Programs (“TOPs“). I serve on the Board of Directors of TOPs, a non-profit which operates the Eastside Tennis Center in Kirkland. We served over 2,000 children last year, approximately 40% of whom are receiving full or partial financial assistance. If you have any questions about TOPs, please ask me!

As always, I would love to hear your questions and comments. If you have any questions about our firm and the work we do, please visit our website at www.staceyromberg.com.
